Polycules: Time and fees adjusted as-needed - let’s talk!
I work with individual adults, adolescents/teens, and relationships in California. I offer in-person therapy, telehealth services via secure video-conferencing, as well as eco-therapy (outdoors) in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I do not accept insurance or work with insurance companies directly. Upon request I can provide clients with a receipt (called a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for partial or full reimbursement. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and details must be worked out between you and your insurance provider.
I will be able to offer a sliding fee to low-income clients once my practice is sustainable. Thus, paying my full fee will enable those with fewer resources to have access to my services in the future.
Payment is due at time of service and clients can pay using cash, credit or check. Clients are responsible for any and all charges incurred in our work together.
I will keep your credit card on file and it will be charged at the end of each session. I utilize a HIPAA compliant payment system in which your credit card information will be securely stored. I also accept cash at the time of service. Even if you are paying in cash, I will still request to have on file a credit or debit card.
Good Faith Estimate
Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
