Adolescents & Teens

Be seen and heard

My work with adolescents and teens focuses on helping my clients identify what they want out of life and then communicate it with confidence. I help young people trust themselves, come to terms with who they are, and foster a sense of connection and authentic relationship. I am an especially good fit for youths who feel like nobody understands them, who feel lonely in a crowd, or think that they are “too much” or have been labeled that way. I am interested in supporting young folks reintegrating into in-person school after being online. I have extensive experience working with youths who identify as gender-queer, on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, youths on the Autism Spectrum, those with difficulty loving their bodies, and those who are coming to therapy with complex trauma. Together we might explore what unique gifts you have to offer to the world.

I recognize the importance of the adults in the lives of young people. And I support caregivers who want to understand and reconnect with their adolescent child. My approach is rooted in attachment and family systems work, which attempts to lay bare the roles inhabited by each family member in order to allow for more transparent communication. I support caregivers with parenting strategies that honor the needs of the emergent young adult in their lives, while also holding space and honoring the boundaries needed for caregivers to manage their stress. I offer individual support and family therapy sessions.
